Thank you for visiting RWBI. Ruby's (as we affectionately call her) region encompasses the shires of Biggenden, Cherbourg, Eidsvold, Gayndah, Kilkivan, Monto, Mundubbera, Murgon, Nanango, Perry, Kingaroy and Wondai and is home to some 55,000 residents. Our goal for the Burnett Inland region of South East Queensland, Australia is for it's residents to have ready access to the information, tools, skills and opportunities necessary for creating a regional network of sustainable and self-reliant communities.

With the assistance of her partners, Ruby will support and initiate local level projects such as LETS (Local Energy Trading Systems), recycling projects, trade locally first promotions, backyard and community gardens and community supported transport schemes. As her "action not just words" approach attracts a critical mass of members and increases her profile as a regional presence, her advocacy role will further broaden to include larger scale projects such as energy independence for the Inland’s emergency and public works services, region-wide adoption of the Oil Depletion Protocol and more effective use of the rail system for freight and passenger travel throughout the region.

It's a big job, but Ruby's a strong, determined girl. With your help she can be even stronger. Join us.

Other things you can do now:

1. Read more about RWBI's values and goals
2. View the RWBI brochure
3. Learn the basics about Peak Oil
4. Adopt the Oil Depletion Protocol as an individual
5. Tell your family, friends and neighbors in the Burnett Inland about Ruby
6. Visit our links
